“I picked that slogan because I feel like we often act surprised that cops are killing Black people at abnormal rates; we act like it’s so shocking,” Blanchard explains. “When people have privilege and they aren’t recognizing it, and they aren’t seeing it, and they aren’t choosing to use it to help other people, it doesn’t really come as a surprise that people are literally abusing their power. That’s actually the second T-shirt I own with that quote on it.”
GLAMOUR: What does it mean to you to be a woman in 2016?
Rowan Blanchard: What it means to me to be a woman in 2016 is to acknowledge intersectionality and to acknowledge where I am more privileged than other women. It’s also about, for me, seeing where I can help other people, but also where there wasn’t much change, and when you look at a timeline, where the gaps are and where there are things that we could still work on. I think what’s most important for me in 2016 is seeing where I can help other women.

“To me being a girl first and foremost means embracing a form of sisterhood and looking at how I can grow alongside other girls and help other girls, or anyone who might identify with that label. It’s important to have the support of others to fall back on, especially in a world that is not made for us, to know that I have all these other ppeople that I can ook to when sometimes it might feel like that world is against me.”

It’s been reported that “Girl Meets World” may make the move to FreeForm leaving Disney Channel. Reported from MovieNewsGuide you can read the report below! This is just a rumor nothing has been said from Disney Channel on the future of “Girl Meets World”.
“Girl Meets World” Season 3 is one of the most anticipated American television sitcom from the house of Disney. The success of the first two seasons has led to constant speculations about the new season.
The latest buzz doing the rounds about “Girl Meets World” suggests that the show is set to ride high on drama in the next installment, as Riley–played by Rowan Blanchard, Maya–played by Sabrina Ann Lynn Carpenter, and the rest of the gang will start high school, Breathe Cast reported. Ever since the new season was announced by showrunner Michael Jacobs, it is being expected that the show will feature new and bolder subjects in the upcoming spin off.
However, ardent fans of the show now want to move it from the Disney banner to Freeform network, owing to its bolder and all new concept. The source revealed that the petitioners want the markers to take this step because this will give them the opportunity to work on broader lines without worrying about the possible restrictions imposed on the storyline by Disney. In addition to this, they also believe that Freeform will also enable to makers to extend the duration of the show. This, may prove to be beneficial from the perspective of story-telling.
Talking about the story line of “Girl Meets World” Season 3, a love triangle between Riley, Maya, and Lucas can be expected, The Bitbag reported. “[The love triangle] will span probably a third to half of season 3. Not as [a] primary focus, but always an underlying thing in existence for the characters. And then when we bring it up to primary, we will resolve it in a way that shows an answer to a much bigger question, which is, how do young people at this age perceive relationships? What is the value of them? And what are our friendships, really?” the source quoted Jacobs as saying.
Viewers can rejoice, as Season 2 can be streamed on Netflix and the third season of “Girl Meets World” is set for a spring premiere.
